My goal is to cut government in half in twenty-five years, to get it down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub." - Grover Norquist

    Go Home Grover Rally!

    Thursday, Oct. 8th, 2009,

    10:45am to 12:30

Marriott Hotel at Sable Oaks Drive, South Portland

As we work to defeat TABOR II this November, our biggest challenge is the ideology that TABOR represents: the idea that in order to save taxpayers money, we need to hack away at public investment to the point where we can no longer support our children, our families, or infrastructure.

The man behind this ideology is Grover Norquist - former advisor to President Ronald Reagan and current president of American's for Tax Reform.  He is coming to Maine on Thursday, Oct. 8th, to speak at a luncheon put on by the Maine Heritage Policy Center.

We're gathering folks around the state to protest Norquist's flawed ideology and DEFEND MAINE from bad policies like TABOR.

We need to tell Grover to GO HOME and we WANT you to be there!

Can you come?  Let us know: Jenna Vendil - jenna@theleague.com - 772-3207
