League of Young Voters Brooklyn Program Internship
The Brooklyn League of Young Voters is looking for a super talented intern to work with our New York City staff to organize our local campaigns in Brooklyn this fall and beyond!
The Program intern will be responsible for recruiting and
managing a volunteer street team of young people who will advocate for PowerVote
at festivals, concerts, parties, and candidate appearances, as well as
coordinating voter outreach efforts to make sure everyone who signs the pledge
gets out and votes!
We need a self-starting, motivated, independent worker who can recruit and
retain volunteers to work with us. We
need somebody who knows politics, knows New
York City and knows people. You’ll need to recruit
people to come to events, volunteer with us, and donate, as well as deal with the
logistics of event planning.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.
Skills/interests:
• Knowledge of New York City
politics
• Experience in activism and event organizing
• Commitment to social justice
• Sense of humor
• Research, writing, editing, and general communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly motivated, and mission driven
nonprofit organization.

voter education, trainings, leadership development, and by providing support to
existing youth, cultural and student organizations to include voter organizing
in their work.
